These water-resistant colouring pencils from CARAN D'ACHE bring your creative sketches and notes to life, even when water is involved. The break-resistant, soft 2.8 mm lead draws smoothly on cedarwood, and with 12 colours you always have the right shade to hand.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need water-resistant coloured pencils?
Water-resistant coloured pencils are indispensable when you are making drawings that must withstand moisture, or when you use mixed techniques. These CARAN D'ACHE SWISSCOLOR pencils remain intact and do not discolour on contact with water, making them ideal for outdoor drawings, illustrations you want to work on later with watercolour, or artworks that need a longer lifespan.
Why choose a set of 12 colours?
This set contains a carefully composed colour combination with basic colours such as black, grey, white and brown, complemented by vivid shades such as scarlet red, cobalt blue and emerald green. With 12 different colours you have enough variety for most drawing techniques without being overwhelmed by too many choices.
The benefits of the soft 2.8 mm lead
The soft 2.8 mm lead ensures rich colour release and smooth line work. At the same time, the lead is break-resistant, meaning you are less troubled by broken points during intensive use. This combination makes the pencils suitable for both fine details and colouring in larger areas.
Practical details for everyday use
The hexagonal shape prevents the pencils from rolling off your drawing table and gives you a stable grip while drawing. The cedar wood ensures easy sharpening and a pleasant user experience. Store the pencils in a dry environment and use a good pencil sharpener to keep the 2.8 mm lead in optimal condition.
