When do you need a professional mechanical pencil?

A mechanical pencil is what you need when you draw, write or make technical drawings a lot and want a constant line width. Unlike ordinary pencils, the 0.7 mm line always stays the same thickness because the lead does not wear down. This makes it ideal for detailed work, architectural sketches or everyday writing where precision matters.

Why choose 0.7 mm?

The 0.7 mm size offers the perfect balance between fine lines and lead strength. This thickness breaks less easily than thinner versions such as 0.5 mm, while still giving you enough precision for detailed work. It is the most versatile choice for both drawing and writing.

What makes this mechanical pencil special?

This CARAN D'ACHE mechanical pencil has a hexagonal aluminium barrel that sits comfortably in your hand and won't roll off your desk. The metal clip is flexible, and the push button contains a handy eraser. At the back of the pencil is a built-in reservoir where spare leads are stored, so you always have a replacement to hand.

Practical benefits of the complete set

You receive the mechanical pencil including 3 HB leads, which have a medium hardness and suit most applications. The metal case with magnetic closure keeps everything safe for storage and transport. The HB leads offer a good balance between dark lines and durability.
