What does this refill do?
This Goliath refill ensures your CARAN D'ACHE ballpoint pen writes perfectly again. If your ballpoint no longer gives ink or produces skipping lines, simply replace the old refill with this new one. That way you get a smooth writing experience again without having to buy a completely new pen.

Why this specific M variant?
The M line width stands for 'medium' and is the most versatile choice for everyday use. This thickness is ideal for both taking notes and writing longer texts. You get clearly legible lines that are not too thin for quick jottings, yet not too thick for detailed work.

The purple colour in practice
Purple ink stands out without being garish, which makes it excellent for highlighting important passages or adding a personal touch to your documents. Unlike standard blue or black, purple gives your handwritten text a distinctive character that stands out in administration or personal correspondence.

Compatibility with your pen
This Goliath refill fits specifically in the CARAN D'ACHE 849 ballpoint pens. Check that your pen is indeed the 849 model before ordering, as not all CARAN D'ACHE ballpoint pens use the same refill system. Replacing it is simple: unscrew the pen, remove the old refill and insert this new one.
