Versatile white colour pencils made of cedar wood that can be used both dry and with water. The hard lead gives precise lines, and the colours stay beautiful for a long time thanks to their exceptional lightfastness.
When do you choose this product?
When should you use water-soluble coloured pencils?
These Caran d'Ache coloured pencils are ideal when you want to combine classic pencil techniques with watercolour techniques. Thanks to their water-soluble properties, you can first draw and then blend with water for soft colour transitions and watercolour effects. They are suitable for artists, illustrators and hobbyists who want to apply versatile techniques.
Why choose this 3.0 mm thickness?
With a lead diameter of 3.0 mm, these pencils offer a hard lead that is suitable for both fine details and colouring larger areas. This thickness provides more control during precision work and has a longer lifespan than thinner leads. The hard composition also makes them less breakable during use.
What does the exceptional lightfastness mean?
These coloured pencils have exceptional lightfastness, which means your artworks won't fade quickly when exposed to light. This is especially important if you want to preserve or exhibit your work over the long term. The pigments retain their original colour intensity, even after years.
Practical features for everyday use
The cedarwood and the hexagonal shape ensure that the pencils don't slip off your work surface. The hexagonal shape sits comfortably in your hand and prevents the pencil from rolling away while you draw. For watercolour effects, use a brush with water over the drawn lines - this is how you transform your drawing into a watercolour painting.
