What does this birthday candle do?
A number candle placed on a cake or cupcake shows the jubilee number or age at a glance. This candle from Clairefontaine represents the number 5 and is therefore the obvious choice for a fifth birthday, a five-year anniversary or another milestone centred on the number 5.

Why this specific design?
The candle has a white appearance with stars and a red edge, so it looks festive without being tied to a single colour theme. It is finished on both sides, so the number is clearly visible from either side of the cake. Thanks to the supplied plastic base, the candle stands securely and you don't need to hold it in your hand while lighting it.

Dimensions to keep in mind
The candle is 75 mm high. This is useful to know if you're placing several number candles next to each other, for example for a two-digit number, so you can be sure they line up evenly. The blister pack measures 85 x 15 x 150 mm, which is also the size of the candle itself — handy if you want to wrap it in advance as a gift accessory.

Practical tip when using
Before use, check that the plastic base can be placed firmly in the cake or surface so the candle doesn't topple over. If you want to display a complete number, combine this candle with other number candles from the same Clairefontaine 'Sterren' (Stars) range (reference 38114 series) for a uniform look in style and height.
