What is this wrapping paper and when do you use it?

This Clairefontaine wrapping paper is made of brown kraft paper that is printed on both sides. The paper weighs 60 grams per square metre, which provides sufficient sturdiness when wrapping. You use this type of paper when you want to wrap gifts, parcels or other items in a decorative way.

Why choose this roll size?

With a width of 700 mm and a length of 3 metres, this roll provides enough paper for several medium to large gifts. The width of 70 centimetres is suitable for most standard gift boxes and books. The roll length of 3 metres gives you enough material for various wrapping projects without needing a new roll in a hurry.

Advantage of double-sided printed kraft paper

The kraft paper is printed on both sides, which means that any folds or turned-over edges still look neat. The weight of 60 grams per square metre makes the paper sturdy enough not to tear while wrapping, but not so thick that it is difficult to fold. The brown colour gives a classic, natural look that suits various occasions.

Practical tip for use

Store the roll upright or hanging to prevent creases. When measuring and cutting, allow for extra paper to fold over the edges. The kraft paper cuts well with ordinary scissors and sticks securely with standard sticky tape.
