What is an artist's block and when do you need one?
An artist's block is special paper developed for watercolour techniques and other wet paint methods. You use it when working with watercolour paint, watercolour pencils or other techniques where water and paint meet. The heavier paper prevents it from becoming waterlogged and curling while you paint.

What does the paper weight of 300 g/m² mean?
At 300 g/m², this is a medium-weight watercolour paper that offers sufficient absorption without taking up too much water. The paper has a fine grain that ensures good paint adhesion and natural texture effects. Thanks to its acid-free composition, your artworks stay beautiful for longer and don't discolour through ageing.

Practical storage tip for optimal use
The block is supplied in packs of 2, which is handy for stock. Store unused blocks in a dry place to prevent moisture. Because the paper is sized, you can use it straight away without any pre-treatment. Do take care that your brush isn't too wet for the first layer of paint to achieve the best result.
