What is this notebook for, and when do you need it?

A notebook is indispensable when you want to take notes on paper, whether for study, work or personal notes. The Clairefontaine Mimesys notebook offers a bound, well-organised writing space that you can keep coming back to when you want to note things down in a structured way, without relying on loose sheets or digital devices.

Why this format and this variant?

This notebook is A4 in size, which makes it ideal for extensive notes, schoolwork or meeting minutes where you need plenty of room on the page. With 96 pages there is enough writing space for a full subject or project, without the notebook becoming unnecessarily thick and awkward to carry.

An honest look at the paper

The paper in this notebook is vélin velouté of 90 g, which means it is sturdier than standard school notebook paper. This weight ensures that ink is less likely to bleed through to the reverse, which writes pleasantly with both ballpoint and fountain pens. The ruling is séyès, a French line pattern with both horizontal and vertical guide lines that is especially popular for handwriting practice and precise note-taking.

A practical tip on use and recognition

The transparent polypropylene cover protects the inside pages from creasing and light moisture damage, and it has the added advantage that you can place a coloured insert behind it for personal recognition. The pink variant makes it easy to quickly tell this notebook apart when you use several notebooks side by side. When purchasing, please note that the séyès ruling differs from a standard lined notebook, so it should be chosen deliberately.
