When do you choose this product?
When do you need a textured sketch pad?
A textured sketch pad such as this Clairefontaine Paint'ON has been specially developed for artists who want to use both dry and wet techniques. The grain provides extra grip and texture, which is ideal for pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolour and acrylic paint. You choose this type of paper when you want more depth and character in your drawings.
Why A4 format with 40 sheets?
The A4 format of 210 x 297 mm offers enough space for detailed work without being too large for everyday use. With 40 sheets, you have a practical amount of paper that won't become too thick to carry around, yet provides enough sheets for multiple projects or practice sessions.
The benefits of 250 gram paper
This sketch pad has a paper weight of 250 grams per square metre, which makes it suitable for both dry and wet techniques. The paper is thick enough to hold watercolour and acrylic paint without curling or tearing, yet still supple enough for pencil and other dry media.
Practical details for optimal use
The pad is glued along one side, so you can easily tear off sheets one by one without damaging the rest of the pad. The paper is acid-free, which means your artwork won't yellow over time. Store the pad flat and dry to preserve the texture of the grained surface.
