This sand-coloured 250 g/m² drawing paper gives your work instant character and depth. Thanks to the slightly rough, glued surface you can use the pad effortlessly for both wet and dry techniques, without the paper buckling.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need sand-coloured drawing paper?
This Clairefontaine PAINT'ON sketch pad is ideal when you work with techniques in which the colour of the paper becomes part of your artwork. The sand-coloured paper offers a warm, neutral base that gives your drawing more depth than white paper. You mainly use it for portraits, landscapes or studies where you want to use the natural tint as a mid-tone.
Why choose this A4 version?
The A4 format of 210 x 297 mm makes this sketch pad perfect for studies, sketches and smaller artworks. With 30 sheets, you have enough paper for a series of drawings or for experimenting. The handy pad format keeps your paper stable while you draw, and you can easily tear off each sheet once your work is finished.
The benefit of 250 g/m² paper
The paper weight of 250 g/m² means this paper is sturdy enough for both dry and wet techniques. You can work with pencil, charcoal, pastel, but also with watercolour or ink, without the paper curling or tearing. The slightly rough surface provides good grip for your drawing and painting materials.
Practical features for lasting use
The paper is acid-free and pH-neutral, so your artworks will not discolour or deteriorate over time. The sized paper means the fibres are firmly bonded, so your materials will not bleed or damage the paper when you erase. These properties make it suitable for work you want to keep for a long time.
