When do you need special stamp ink?
Regular stamp ink works excellently on paper, but for smooth and non-porous surfaces you need a different formula. This COLOP 802 stamp ink is specially developed for materials that standard ink does not adhere well to, such as metal, glass and certain plastics.
Why solvent-based and quick-drying?
Thanks to the solvent-based formula, this ink dries quickly on smooth surfaces and prevents smudging. This makes it possible to carry on working straight after stamping, without waiting time. The ink adheres firmly to the material and gives a durable stamp impression.
Suitable for these materials, not for PE and PP
You can use this ink on metal, glass and most plastics. Please note: the ink is explicitly not suitable for PE (polyethylene) and PP (polypropylene) plastics. These materials have too smooth a structure, so the ink does not adhere well to them.
Refilling your stamp pad
As well as for direct stamping, you can also use this ink to revive dried-out stamp pads. By carefully refilling the pad with this special formula, you make it suitable for use on non-porous surfaces again.
