Effortlessly bridge long distances between your devices without signal loss. This active cable can be chained up to 20 metres, so your printer or camera is always within reach.
When do you choose this product?
What does this USB extension cable do?
This active USB 3.0 extension cable extends the reach of your USB devices by 5 metres. You use it when the standard cable of your printer, external hard drive or other USB devices is too short to work comfortably. The cable also works with USB 2.0 devices that have their own power supply.
Why choose an active extension cable?
An active extension cable has built-in signal amplification, so you experience no data loss over longer distances. This is crucial for reliable data transfer at USB 3.0 speeds of up to 480 Mbit per second. Passive extension cables can cause signal attenuation problems at this length.
Cascadable setup possible
What makes this cable special is that you can connect several units in series up to a maximum total length of 20 metres. This gives you a lot of flexibility when setting up your workspace or when bridging large distances between computer and peripheral equipment.
Compatibility and use
The cable works with Windows from version 2000 up to and including Windows 8, and also with Mac OS 10.X systems. Please note that USB 2.0 devices only work if they have their own power supply – devices that draw power from the USB port may experience problems due to the longer cable length.
