This OM3 patch cable delivers stable data transmission up to 10 GBit/s in your network. Thanks to the ceramic ferrules, you benefit from a precise connection and minimal signal loss, ideal for your server room or data centre.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a fibre optic patch cable?
Fibre optic patch cables are used to connect network components in professional environments where high speeds and reliable data transmission are crucial. This ST-ST duplex cable is specifically designed for Ethernet connections up to 10 Gbit per second, making it suitable for servers, switches and other network equipment that requires fibre optic connectivity.
Why choose ST connectors?
ST connectors are robust, bayonet-style connectors widely used in data centre environments and professional network installations. This duplex design provides two separate connections in a single cable, which is necessary for full-duplex communication where data can be sent in both directions simultaneously. The 2 metre length gives you sufficient flexibility for connections within a server rack or between nearby devices.
OM3 multimode specifications
This cable uses OM3 multimode fibre with 50/125 micrometre specifications, meaning the core diameter is 50 micrometres and the cladding diameter is 125 micrometres. OM3 is optimised for 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications over shorter distances and offers excellent performance in modern network infrastructures.
Practical details for installation
The turquoise cable colour helps you identify OM3 multimode cables in your network installation, while the grey ST connectors are standard colours. The ceramic ferrule in the connectors ensures precise alignment and minimal signal loss. Always check that your network equipment has ST ports before ordering this cable.
