When do you need a Cat. 5e network cable?
A Cat. 5e network cable is used to connect devices directly to each other or to your network via an ethernet port. You need this cable when you want a stable, wired internet connection for your computer, printer, NAS system or other network equipment. This is especially useful in office environments where you depend on a reliable network connection.

Why choose a 2 metre length?
The 2 metre length is ideal for short distances within your workspace. This length gives you enough room to position devices flexibly without the cable sagging or getting in the way. For connections between your desk and a nearby switch, router or wall outlet, this size is perfect.

What does U/UTP Cat. 5e mean for your use?
This U/UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable with Cat. 5e specification supports network speeds up to 1000 Mbps. The twisted pair construction with AWG 26/7 wire gauge ensures good signal transmission under normal office conditions. The absence of additional shielding makes the cable suitable for standard network installations without extreme sources of interference.

Practical details that make the difference
The cable has 1:1 wiring, meaning both ends are wired identically – this is standard for normal network connections between devices and switches. The RJ45 connectors are fitted with strain relief (knickschutz) and cable grip (zugentlastung), which protect the connections from breaking when the cable is bent. The length marking on the connectors helps you identify the right cable in your setup.
