This is why Dex likes this article
This splice cassette with 12 coloured LC pigtails keeps your fibre optic installation tidy and quick to finish. Thanks to the singlemode OS2 quality and LSZH sheath, you splice safely and reliably, without fiddling with loose components.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a splice cassette?
A splice cassette is used in fibre optic installations to connect and organise different fibre optic cables. This DIGITUS model is specifically designed for professional network environments where you need to manage and protect multiple fibre optic connections in a structured way.
Why choose singlemode with 12 pigtails?
This cassette is equipped with singlemode 09/125 OS2 fibre, which is ideal for long distances and high data speeds. With 12 coloured pigtails, you can make up to 12 different connections, with each colour helping to identify specific connections. This prevents confusion during installation and maintenance.
LC UPC connectors for reliable connections
The LC UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) connectors ensure minimal signal loss thanks to the polished ferrule that makes physical contact. UPC connectors are suitable for most standard fibre optic applications and offer a good balance between performance and cost. The 2.0 metre pigtail length gives you sufficient flexibility during installation.
Practical installation features
The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheathing of the pigtails is important for installations in buildings, as this material produces fewer toxic fumes in the event of fire. The coloured pigtails make it easy to distinguish between different circuits during splicing and later modifications to your fibre optic network.
