When do you need watercolour pencils?
Watercolour pencils combine the ease of coloured pencils with the possibilities of watercolour paint. You use them when you want to apply both dry colouring techniques and watercolour techniques in a single artwork. Thanks to the 4.0 mm thick core, you can draw fine details as well as fill large areas with colour.

Why this format is ideal for versatile use
With a length of 175 mm, these pencils sit comfortably in your hand for extended drawing sessions. The 4.0 mm round core is thicker than standard coloured pencils, so you can fill larger surfaces more quickly while still having enough control for detailed work. This size offers the perfect balance between coverage and precision.

What the water-soluble property means
These watercolour pencils are water-soluble, which means you can blend the drawn lines and colour areas with water to create smooth watercolour paint. You can first draw dry and then go over the colour with a damp brush for soft transitions. The break-resistant core prevents the pencils from breaking easily during this process.

Practical details for optimal use
The anthracite-coloured barrel has a dip cap in the colour of the core, so you can quickly recognise the right colour. The metal case protects your 12 pencils and keeps them organised. For the best water-soluble effect, use a natural hair brush with clean water and work from light to dark.
