What does this gel pen do?

The Eberhard Faber Click It! GenTrend is a gel pen for smooth, blue handwriting. Gel pens lay down more ink than a standard ballpoint, which gives a fluid writing experience without you having to apply extra pressure. This makes them well suited to longer writing sessions at the office or at school.

When is this format the right choice?

With a writing width of 0.7 mm, you get a medium-weight line that is easy to read and still retains enough detail for everyday notes and forms. This format is a popular middle ground: not so fine that it clogs easily, and not so broad that text looks unsettled. The push mechanism with clip makes the pen easy to carry in a breast pocket or ring binder.

An honest look at the eraser function

At the end of the pen is a plastic tip with which you can rub out what you have written. It is important to know that this is a mechanical plastic eraser, not a traditional latex rubber – the result depends on the paper and on how long the ink has been dry. Expect it to be a handy way of correcting recent writing errors rather than a solution that erases everything.

Practical tip: refillable and more sustainable in use

The Click It! GenTrend is refillable, which means you can replace the inner refill once the ink runs out. That way you avoid having to buy a completely new pen each time. When refilling, look specifically for OEM number 582138 or the designation "Click It! GenTrend" from Eberhard Faber to be sure of a compatible refill. The light blue body with colour gradient and soft-touch surface also makes the pen visually recognisable among other pens.
