This is why Dex likes this article
These triangular colouring pencils sit nicely in small children's hands thanks to the grip bumps, ideal for their very first drawing adventures. The soft, thick lead colours beautifully smoothly and is dermatologically tested, and with the handy pencil sharpener included you can get started straight away.
When do you choose this product?
Who are these colouring pencils intended for?
These Faber-Castell Grippy colouring pencils have been specially developed for small children's hands. With their soft jumbo lead and thick 10 mm shape, they are ideal for toddlers and young children who are just learning to draw and colour. The pencils are dermatologically tested, which is important because young children sometimes put their drawing materials in their mouths.
Why choose this triangular shape?
The ergonomic triangular shape automatically helps your child learn the correct pencil grip. This is far better than round pencils, which can roll away or which fingers slide around. The special grip dots on the surface prevent the pencil from slipping out of small hands, even if there is a little saliva or sweat on the fingers.
What makes the soft jumbo lead special?
The thick, soft 10 mm lead is much sturdier than that of ordinary colouring pencils. This means your child needs to apply less pressure to create beautiful, colourful strokes. The lead is less likely to break, which prevents frustration while drawing. Moreover, the colours cover well, making drawings come to life.
Practical tips for use
This set contains 6 pencils in basic colours: yellow, red, flesh tone, dark blue, light green and brown. A matching Grippy pencil sharpener is included, specially made for these thick pencils. Standard pencil sharpeners are too small for the 10 mm lead. Store the pencils upright in a pot, so the tips stay intact and your child can easily pick them up.
