What does this gel rollerball do, and when do you need it?

The Faber-Castell BEYOND Gel Breed is a gel rollerball that writes with silver-coloured ink. That makes it ideal for situations where you want to stand out on dark paper, for creative projects, handwritten cards or decorative notes where an ordinary blue or black pen falls short.

Why choose this format and this variant?

With a writing width of 0.6 mm, this rollerball produces a broad, clearly visible line. That line thickness works well when you want silver accents without the stroke looking too fine or delicate. The transparent barrel also lets you see at a glance how much ink is left in the pen, so you won't run out unexpectedly.

Honest about the grip zone and use

The rubber grip zone provides a comfortable hold, even during long periods of writing or drawing. Because gel ink has a different consistency from regular ballpoint or rollerball ink, this pen writes more smoothly but the ink needs a little more drying time. Keep this in mind if you use the pen on slippery or coated surfaces.

Practical tip: refillability and compatibility

An important advantage of this pen is that it is refillable with a standard large refill. That means you don't have to throw the pen away once the ink runs out, which is both cost-saving and more sustainable. When ordering refills, choose a compatible standard large refill that fits the Faber-Castell BEYOND range, so you can be sure everything fits properly.
