What does gouache do and when do you need it?
Gouache is an opaque watercolour paint that is ideal for creative projects where you want to create solid areas of colour. You use gouache when you don't want underlying colours to show through, for example when making posters, craft projects, or when you want to paint over dark backgrounds.

Why choose this Connector system?
This Faber-Castell gouache has a unique Connector design, in which the paint pans can be individually linked together. This means you can put together your own colour combinations and take along only the colours you need. The transparent lid shows you straight away which colours are inside.

Practical benefits of the innovative design
The transparent lid contains built-in mixing areas where you can mix colours directly without a separate palette. This saves time and materials. You will also find a name field on the lid, handy for use at school or in a group. The gouache has excellent coverage, so you need less paint to achieve the same result.

Handy tip for optimal use
This set of 12 colours includes opaque white, which you can use to make pastel shades or to prime dark backgrounds. Always keep the paint pans tightly closed to prevent them from drying out. The Connector system makes it possible to buy individual pans later and expand your set with exact colour matching.
