For special colour effects on dark paper
These Faber-Castell colouring pencils are specially designed for drawing on dark surfaces. Whereas ordinary colouring pencils are barely visible on black or dark paper, the Supersoft lead in these pencils produces striking colour effects that stand out well. You need them when you want to experiment with contrast effects or when your project calls for drawing on dark backgrounds.

Why the triangular shape makes the difference
The triangular shape offers more grip than round pencils, so your hand tires less quickly during long periods of drawing. This shape also prevents the pencils from rolling off your drawing table. The black wood gives the pencils a stylish look that suits the Black Edition range.

Extra soft colour release thanks to thick lead
The 3.3 mm thick lead ensures an extra soft colour release, allowing you to colour in large areas with ease. Thanks to the break-resistant construction, the leads are less likely to snap, even under somewhat firmer pressure. This means less frustration while drawing and less time lost sharpening broken points.

Practical tip for optimal use
Store the 12 pencils in the supplied cardboard case to prevent damage. For the best results on dark paper, hold the pencils at a slight angle to make the most of the soft lead material. Test first on a corner of your paper to see how intense the colours turn out.
