What are lead refills and when do you use them?
Lead refills are replacement leads for mechanical pencils that you can load when the original lead runs out or breaks. You need them as soon as your mechanical pencil is empty, because without new leads you can't continue writing or drawing.

Why choose 0.5 mm leads?
The 0.5 mm thickness is ideal for precise writing, technical drawing and detailed notes. This lead thickness gives you enough control for fine lines without the lead breaking too quickly during normal use.

What does the HB grade mean?
HB stands for the hardness grade of the graphite and sits exactly between hard and soft. This medium hardness provides a good balance between dark, clear lines and lead durability. HB leads are suitable for everyday writing and light sketching.

Practical tip for use
A tube contains 12 leads, which provides sufficient stock for long-term use. Always check that your mechanical pencil is suitable for 0.5 mm leads before ordering, as mechanical pencils are specifically designed for certain lead diameters. Store the leads in their original tube to prevent breakage.
