This superfine marker is perfect for precise labelling on CDs, DVDs and other smooth surfaces. The 0.4 mm tip writes sharply and dries in seconds, so you can carry straight on with your work.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a special CD/DVD marker?
This Faber-Castell OHP-CD-PLUS marker has been developed for writing on CDs and DVDs without damaging the disc. Ordinary markers can attack the protective layer of optical media, rendering your data unreadable. With this special marker you can safely write labels, titles or notes on your CDs and DVDs.
Why choose the super-fine 0.4 mm tip?
The super-fine line width of 0.4 mm gives you precision for small letters and details on the limited surface of a CD or DVD. This allows you to write neatly in the narrow space between the central hole and the edge of the disc. The metallic-coated tip ensures stable line flow and lasts longer than standard felt-tip pens.
Water resistance and quick drying time
The ink is water-resistant, meaning your writing will not run on contact with moisture. This is essential for CDs and DVDs that may be stored in different conditions. The marker dries within a few seconds, so you won't smudge the disc when you handle it shortly after writing.
Practical tip for use
Always write from the centre towards the outer edge of the CD or DVD, never in circular motions. This prevents damage to the data tracks. Store the marker horizontally with the cap on to prevent it from drying out. The marker is also suitable for overhead transparencies (OHP films) thanks to its versatile formulation.
