When do you choose this product?
For artistic and professional colouring
The Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils have been specially developed for artists who want to achieve professional results. These coloured pencils are ideal for detailed work, illustrations, sketches and artistic projects where colour fastness and precision are important. With their oil-based core, they offer a unique texture that sets them apart from ordinary coloured pencils.
Why this set of 12 colours
This basic collection contains carefully selected colours: white, cadmium yellow, cadmium orange dark, scarlet red deep, magenta, ultramarine light, phthalo blue, emerald green, light green, burnt ochre, walnut brown and black. This colour combination gives you the primary colours plus essential mixing shades to draw and colour a wide range of subjects.
Water- and smudge-resistant oil-based core
What makes these Polychromos pencils special is the oil-based core, which makes them water- and smudge-resistant. This means your work won't run when it gets damp, and colours won't fade from being touched. The soft colour release gives a rich, saturated colour on paper, while the 3.8 mm thick core is break-resistant and long-lasting.
Practical features for everyday use
At a length of 176 mm, these round pencils sit comfortably in the hand during long drawing sessions. The metal tin protects the pencils from damage and keeps them neatly organised. The round shape prevents them from rolling off your worktable, which is handy during creative sessions.
