This Grippy sharpener is safe and child-friendly thanks to the blade guard and safety screw. You hear a clear 'click' when inserting the pencil, and the large shavings bin keeps the mess under control. Handy extra: the blade is replaceable, so you can keep using this sharpener for a long time.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a child-safe pencil sharpener?
A pencil sharpener with child safety features is essential when you work in an environment where children use pencils and coloured pencils. The Grippy model from Faber-Castell is specially designed for safe use by children, minimising the risk of injury from sharp parts.
Why the Grippy is suitable for children's work
This pencil sharpener has a built-in blade guard that prevents small fingers from coming into contact with the sharp sharpening mechanism. The safety feature provides protection during use. The blue design is also recognisable and appealing to young users.
Practical features for everyday use
The Grippy model has a large shavings holder that needs emptying less often, which is handy in busy classroom situations. When you insert a pencil, you hear a clear 'click' that confirms the pencil is correctly positioned. This audiovisual signal helps children learn proper use and prevents incorrect sharpening.
Maintenance and replacement options
The sharpener is fitted with a safety screw that prevents unwanted opening, but still allows access for cleaning when necessary. The sharpening mechanism itself is replaceable, which means you don't have to throw away the whole pencil sharpener when the blade becomes blunt. This makes the Grippy a sustainable choice for schools and home use.
