When do you need a powerful paper shredder?
The Fellowes Powershred 485i is designed for heavy use in office environments where large quantities of documents need to be destroyed every day. With a capacity of 38-40 sheets at a time and a generous 142-litre collection bin, you don't have to empty it constantly. This makes the device suitable for workstations where several people regularly process confidential documents.

Why choose 5.8 mm strip cut?
This paper shredder produces strips 5.8 mm wide, which meets security level P-2. This level of protection is sufficient for internal business documents and personal data that is not state secret. Strip cutting works faster than cross cutting and is therefore more practical for large volumes, while still offering effective protection against identity theft.

Versatility beyond paper
In addition to paper, this device also shreds CDs, credit cards, staples and paper clips without you having to remove them first. This saves time and prevents damage to the cutting mechanism. The 405 mm working width means you can also easily feed wider documents such as computer printouts.

Safety and ease of use
The SafeSense system automatically stops when your hands come too close to the paper feed, which helps prevent accidents. The Anti-Jam System detects jammed paper and automatically reverses to clear blockages. Please note that this model is fitted with a Swiss (CH) plug, so check whether it is compatible with your sockets.
