When do you replace a bicycle inner tube?
You replace an inner tube when the current tube has a hole, for example from a puncture or wear. If you keep getting flat tyres, it is often wiser to fit a new inner tube than to keep patching. This FISCHER inner tube fits 28-inch bikes, the most common size for city bikes, trekking bikes and many racing bikes.

Why choose this width variant?
This inner tube is compatible with various tyre widths according to the ETRTO standard 37-622 to 45-622, which corresponds to 28 x 1.35 to 28 x 1.75 inch tyres. This makes it suitable for both narrower racing tyres and wider comfort and trekking tyres. So you have one inner tube that fits multiple tyre types, which is practical for varied cycling.

Advantage of the car valve
The car valve (also known as a Schrader valve) has the same fitting as car tyres, so you can inflate it at any petrol station or with standard bicycle pumps. The valve is sturdier than the thin racing bike valve and less vulnerable to damage. At a length of 35 mm, this valve fits through most rims without any problems.

Practical fitting tip
Before fitting, always check that your tyre size matches the ETRTO codes printed on your outer tyre. When installing, make sure the inner tube does not get caught between the tyre and the rim, as this will cause an immediate pinch flat. After fitting, first inflate the tyre slightly to check that everything sits correctly, before giving it full pressure.
