What does this photo calendar do and when do you need it?

This DIY photo calendar from folia is designed to be filled in and decorated with your own photos. It consists of one cover and twelve calendar pages with month numbers, but without a year. That makes it suitable for any year, so you don't have to throw it away unused if you give it as a gift or only start using it later.

Why this format and this finish?

The A4 format gives you enough room to show your photos to their best advantage without the calendar becoming too large for an average wall or door. The kraft finish gives it a natural, craft-style look that suits a handmade feel. The spiral binding makes turning the pages easy and lets the calendar hang flat against the wall.

An honest look at the card

The calendar pages are made of 200 g/m² card, which is sturdier than ordinary printer paper. That's useful if you want to stick photos on them or draw on them, as the page is less likely to sag or warp. Do keep in mind that the card has an untreated, light brown kraft colour, which affects how the colours of attached photos appear.

Practical tip for use

As the calendar doesn't show a year, you can decide yourself which year or month to start from. Write or stamp the desired year on it for clarity. If you want to attach photos, double-sided tape or a photo glue stick works well on this type of card without the pages buckling.
