Transparent purple paper that lets light through and creates atmosphere. Perfect for decorations, gift wrapping or creative projects where you want a subtle colour effect.
When do you choose this product?
What is tracing paper and when do you use it?
Tracing paper is used for creative projects where you want to create a transparent or translucent effect. This material lets light through but at the same time softens the background, allowing you to achieve interesting visual effects. You often see it used in art projects, decorations, packaging or as an overlay for drawings.
Why choose this format, 700 mm wide?
With a width of 700 mm and a length of 1 metre, you get a generous working surface for larger projects. This format is ideal if you want to cover large areas or cut multiple smaller pieces from a single sheet. The size offers flexibility to create both A4-sized pieces and wider applications.
The translucent property in practice
This tracing paper is translucent (durchschimmernd), meaning it lets light through but displays objects behind it in a softer, more diffused way. The paper weight of 42 g/m² ensures it is sturdy enough to work with, yet remains light and flexible. The purple colour adds a subtle tint to your project without being too dominant.
Practical tip for use
The paper is supplied on a roll, so you can unroll it smoothly without creases or folds. Unroll it carefully and let it lie flat for a moment before cutting, so any curl from the roll can disappear. For the best result, secure the edges with double-sided tape or paper clips while you work.
