When do you choose this product?
What is calligraphy and when do you need a special pen?
Calligraphy is the art of decorative writing with elegant, stylised lettering. For beautiful calligraphic texts, you need special pens that deliver an even ink flow and allow for different line widths. This Herlitz calligraphy set is ideal for beginners who want to experiment with different writing styles, or for anyone who regularly creates invitations, cards or decorative texts.
Why this set with three different nib sizes?
With three different nibs of 0.9 mm, 1.4 mm and 1.9 mm, you can add variation to your calligraphy. Use the fine 0.9 mm nib for delicate details and small letters, the medium 1.4 mm for standard calligraphic text, and the broad 1.9 mm for striking headings or large decorative letters. With this variety in a single set, you immediately have all the tools you need to create different effects.
Suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users
The ergonomic grip zone makes long writing sessions comfortable, and the pen is specifically designed for use by both left-handed and right-handed users. This is important in calligraphy, as the pen angle and writing direction affect the final result. The plastic construction keeps the pen lightweight, which reduces hand fatigue during longer calligraphy sessions.
Practical tip for immediate use
The set includes three ink cartridges, so you can get started straight away. To change the nibs, carefully unscrew them and replace them with the size you need. Always begin with the medium 1.4 mm nib to get a feel for the pen before moving on to the finer or broader variants.
