What is this exercise book for, and when do you need it?

A school exercise book helps children write in a structured way and keep their work well organised. This herlitz x.book exercise book in A5 format is specifically intended for pupils in Year 3, who have already moved beyond the handwriting-practice stage and are ready for ordinary ruled lines without guide lines or margins.

Why this format and this ruling?

The A5 format is compact enough for a school bag but large enough to write in comfortably. The Year 3 ruling consists of plain horizontal lines without extra guide margins, which suits the writing level of children who already have the basic skills. With 32 sheets, you have enough room for a full school year of exercises in one subject.

An honest note on the paper quality

The paper weighs 80 g/m² and is wood-free, which means it yellows less quickly than ordinary wood-pulp paper. In addition, it is produced with reduced CO2 emissions, a conscious choice if you also pay attention to environmental impact when buying school supplies. These are measurable properties of the paper, not a marketing promise.

Practical: sturdiness and use in the classroom

The card cover is reinforced and has rounded corners, making the exercise book better able to withstand daily use in a school bag. The animal motif on the cover makes it easy for a child to recognise among several exercise books. When purchasing, check whether the school specifically requires ruling 3 without margins, as some schools have different requirements per subject or year group.
