Reliable backup solution for large data volumes. With 6TB native and up to 15TB compressed, you can effortlessly store all your business data securely, without hassle.
When do you choose this product?
What does an LTO data cartridge do?
An LTO (Linear Tape-Open) data cartridge is a magnetic tape that you use for making backups and archiving large amounts of digital data. You need this type of storage medium when you want to keep business-critical data safe and cost-effective for longer periods, especially with large data volumes that don't need to be accessed daily.
Why choose the LTO VII format?
This HP Ultrium LTO VII cartridge offers a storage capacity of 6TB for uncompressed data and up to 15TB when compression is used. The LTO VII format is suitable when you need more capacity than previous LTO generations, but are not yet ready to invest in newer formats. You choose this format if your tape drive supports LTO VII.
Reliable storage for business environments
This original HP cartridge with reference code C7977A is designed for professional backup and archiving systems. The magnetic tape technology offers a long service life for data storage and is less susceptible to electromagnetic interference than other storage media. You can rely on your data remaining accessible for years when the cartridge is stored correctly.
Compatibility and practical tips
This C7977A cartridge works exclusively with LTO-7 tape drives from various brands that support the Ultrium standard. Please note that your tape drive must specifically support LTO VII, as tape cartridges are not cross-compatible with all generations. Store the cartridges upright in a dry environment between 16-35°C for optimal performance and data integrity.
