What does a drum do in your laser printer?
A drum is the component in your laser printer that transfers the toner powder onto the paper. Without a working drum, you will get faint prints, streaks or smudges on your documents. You replace this HP drum 120A when print quality deteriorates, even if you still have sufficient toner.

Which HP printers is this drum suitable for?
This drum has been developed specifically for the HP Color Laser 150a, 150nw and the HP Color Laser MFP 178nwg and 179fwg models. The W1120A reference code guarantees that you order the correct part. Always check your printer model before ordering, as drums are not interchangeable between different printer series.

How many pages can you print with it?
With this drum you can print up to 16,000 pages in black and white and 4,000 pages per colour (cyan, magenta and yellow). This means that for colour prints you will need a new drum sooner than for black-and-white documents. The exact lifespan depends on your printing pattern and the amount of text or images per page.

Practical tip for optimal use
Keep the drum in its original packaging until you install it and avoid direct sunlight. Please note that the drum is a different component from the toner cartridge – both have their own replacement schedule. If you mainly print in colour, take the lower capacity for coloured prints into account when planning your stock.
