When do you need a black ink cartridge?
This HP 912 black ink cartridge is essential for printing text, documents and black-and-white prints. You need it when your printer indicates that the black ink has run out or when your prints become faded or streaky. Black ink is used more than any other colour, so you will need to replace this cartridge more often than the colour cartridges.

Why choose this capacity?
With 8.3 ml of ink and a capacity of 300 pages, this cartridge is suitable for average home use or small office use. This capacity offers a good balance between purchase price and number of prints. For households that regularly print documents, e-mails or schoolwork, you won't need to buy a new cartridge too often.

What to expect from 300 pages
The stated capacity of 300 pages is based on standard test pages with 5% coverage. This means that with normal document printing and an average amount of text, you can print roughly this number of pages. With documents containing a lot of black text or images, the actual number of pages will be lower.

Check compatibility with your printer
This cartridge works exclusively with the HP OfficeJet 8012, 8012e, 8014, 8014e, 8015, 8015e and OfficeJet Pro 8022, 8022e, 8023, 8024, 8024e, 8025, 8025e models. Check the exact model of your printer before you order. You can usually find the model number on the front or top of your printer, or in the printer menu under settings.
