When do you need a black ink cartridge?
A black ink cartridge is essential for printing text, documents and black-and-white images. You need this HP 953 cartridge when your HP OfficeJet Pro printer indicates that the black ink is empty or nearly empty. Black ink is used the most, so you will need to replace this cartridge more often than the colour cartridges.

Compatible with your HP OfficeJet Pro printer
This HP 953 black cartridge works only with the HP OfficeJet Pro 7720, 7730, 7740, 8210 and 8730 printers. It is important that you check these exact model numbers on your printer, as other HP printers require a different cartridge type. By choosing the correct original cartridge, you avoid compatibility problems.

Print capacity of 900 pages
With this 20 ml cartridge you can print approximately 900 pages. This figure is based on standard test pages with 5% coverage, which means that pages with a lot of text or images will use up your ink more quickly. For many office environments, this capacity offers a good balance between cost and print volume.

Recognise the right cartridge by its reference
Always check the reference code L0S58AE on the packaging or look for "HP 953" in your printer menu. These codes are also listed in your printer's manual. Do not leave empty cartridges in your printer for too long, as dried ink residue can damage the print head.
