When do you need a black ink cartridge?
You need a black ink cartridge when you regularly print documents, reports or other texts. Black ink is used most often for standard office work and produces sharp, legible text on paper.

Why choose the XL version?
The 973XL cartridge yields approximately 10,000 pages, which is a substantial amount compared with standard cartridges. This XL version is ideal when you print a lot and don't want to replace cartridges constantly. You save time because you need to change cartridges less often, and you get more value for money per printed page.

What does that high page yield mean in practice?
With 10,000 pages, you'll go a long way, even with heavy use. This makes the cartridge suitable for offices where dozens of documents are printed every day. The high capacity does mean a higher purchase price, but this is offset by the lower cost per page.

Check compatibility with your printer
This cartridge works exclusively with HP PageWide Pro printers: the 452, 452DTW, 477 and 477DW models. Check the exact model number of your printer before ordering. You can usually find this on a sticker on the front or bottom of your printer. The OEM code L0A07AE helps you make sure you have found the right cartridge.
