When do you need a base unit?
This Kerkmann base unit is the foundation for a modular storage system in your office or archive. You use a base unit as a starting point when you want to build a new set of shelving units, or as a standalone cabinet for documents and office supplies.

Why choose these dimensions?
With dimensions of 960×300×1900 mm, this shelving unit offers an optimal balance between a compact depth and a generous width. The relatively narrow depth of 30 cm fits well in office spaces where every centimetre counts, while the height of 1.90 metres makes maximum use of the available vertical space.

Flexibility through height-adjustable shelves
The screwless slot system makes assembly easy without any tools. You can adjust the shelves to different document sizes, and the system is specifically designed for 5 folder heights. This means you can fit standard lever arch files perfectly without wasting any space.

Load capacity and stability
Each shelf supports up to 60 kg, which is sufficient for heavily filled folders and document boxes. The total load capacity of 500 kg per shelf bay indicates that this unit is also suitable for heavier office supplies. The included back panel provides extra stability and prevents items from falling backwards.
