When do you need a black ink cartridge?
A black ink cartridge such as this Kores X254BKXL is essential when you print regular text, copy documents or make black-and-white prints. Black ink runs out the fastest because it is used in almost every print job, including colour prints for text and lines.

Why choose this XL variant?
This XL version contains 11 ml of ink, which is considerably more than standard cartridges. You can print many more pages before you need to replace the cartridge. This is particularly advantageous if you print regularly and prefer to change cartridges less often.

Compatibility with your Brother printer
This Kores cartridge replaces the original Brother LC-3213BK and is specifically suitable for the Brother MFC-J 491 series, 497 series, MFC-J 890 series, 895 series, DCP-J 572 series, DCP-J 772 series and 774 series printers. Always check that your printer model is on this list before you order.

Practical tip for use
Store unused ink cartridges at room temperature and out of direct sunlight to preserve the ink quality. Only remove the protective foil just before you install the cartridge, so the ink does not dry out or the print heads do not become clogged.
