This is why Dex likes this article
With this gesso primer, you give any painting surface an even, fully covering base to work on. Apply it easily with a brush or roller, and enjoy a water-resistant, colour-stable and yellowing-resistant layer. Ideal if you often prepare large canvases or panels and want to keep them in stock.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need an acrylic primer?
An acrylic primer is used to prepare surfaces before you paint. This KREUL Gesso ensures that paint adheres better and dries more evenly on different materials. You need a primer when you want to prevent paint from drying unevenly or soaking into porous surfaces.
Why choose this 2.5 litre size?
With 2.5 litres, you have enough primer for multiple projects or larger surfaces. This size is practical for artists who work regularly or for larger canvas and wall projects. You can use the primer economically without having to buy new small packages each time.
Waterproof coverage after drying
This acrylic semi-gesso base Gesso provides a waterproof, well-covering layer once dry. The primer is light- and ageing-resistant, which means your surface remains stable and does not discolour from sunlight or ageing. This gives you confidence that your artwork or project has a durable foundation.
Easy application with brush or roller
You can apply this primer with a wide brush or paint roller, which speeds up the work on larger surfaces. Be sure to spread the primer evenly for the best result. Allow the primer to dry completely before painting over it, so that the waterproof properties work optimally.

Dex knows - user tips
Let the gesso dry completely before painting over it – only then is the surface waterproof and opaque. The product contains substances that can cause an allergic skin reaction in some people; if you work with this kind of product regularly and have sensitive skin, wear gloves.
