Creative marbling ink with which you can conjure up beautiful marbling effects on various materials. Thanks to the handy dropper tip you dose precisely, and the quick drying time means you'll soon be finished with your artwork.
When do you choose this product?
When do you use marbling ink?
Marbling ink is used for tauchmarmorieren, a creative technique in which you give objects a natural marble pattern by dipping them through coloured ink. This product is ideal if you want to make decorative projects or give ordinary objects a unique look.
Which materials is this ink suitable for?
This KREUL marbling ink works on a wide range of materials: wood, glass, plastic, paper, metal, stoneware, terracotta and styrofoam. This makes it a versatile choice for various creative projects, from decorating vases to personalising wooden boxes or making artistic paper.
Why is this variant practical?
The ink is supplied in a glass bottle with a dropper insert, so you can dose the amount of ink precisely. This prevents waste and gives you control over the marbling process. In addition, the colours have a short drying time, so your projects are finished quickly.
How do you combine different colours?
The KREUL marbling colours are mixable with each other, which means you can use different shades together to create unique colour transitions. By dripping several colours into water at the same time and gently mixing them, organic marble patterns form before you pull your object through them.

Marbling Paint "Magic Marble", standard colours
• in glass
• with drip insert
• short drying time
• colours can be mixed with one another
• for dip marbling
Instructions for Magic Marble marbling paint:
1. Dripping: Fill a container in which the object can be fully submerged with water. Note: the container can no longer be fully cleaned. Therefore, protect the vessel with a plastic bag if necessary. Shake the paint briefly. Drip the marbling paint close to the water surface.
2. Drawing the pattern: The more paint you drip, the more intense the marbling colour becomes. For polystyrene foam, use no more than 15 drops and a maximum of 4 shades of colour. Immediately after dripping the paint, draw the marble pattern using a wooden stick. The ideal marbling result is achieved by using 2 to 3 shades of colour.
3. Dipping: Insert the object, e.g. a polystyrene foam heart, onto a wooden stick. Slowly submerge the heart in the water, let it rest briefly and quickly pull it out again. To prevent a second layer of paint forming on the object, blow on the water surface before pulling it out so that the paint flows towards the edge. Leave to dry. Depending on the surface of the object being marbled, the paint will be dust-dry after 15 to 30 minutes. Once fully dry, the objects can be wiped clean.
4. Finished: For the next marbling, carefully remove excess paint from the water surface with a sheet of paper (paper side). Remove paint residue to achieve an even distribution of the new paint. If heavily soiled, replace the water.
Creative tips:
- the order in which the shades of colour are dripped affects the marble pattern: the first shade of colour is displaced by the second, so that the second shade of colour is more pronounced
- for single-colour marbling, use colourless paint and the desired shade of colour
- always work swiftly when marbling, as otherwise a slightly dried paint film forms on the water surface
- close the paint immediately after use
- wearing gloves and an apron is recommended
- for textiles and fabrics, test samples are recommended
Application examples:
- for marbling wood, glass, plastic, paper, metal, earthenware, terracotta or polystyrene foam
- for colouring blown Easter eggs or Christmas baubles
Suitable for:
- hobby crafters
