What are 3-in-1 colouring pencils and when do you use them?
These LAMY colouring pencils combine three different applications in one pencil: watercolour, wax crayon and regular colouring pencil. You can use them for dry techniques such as colouring in and sketching, but also for wet techniques by adding water. This makes them ideal for creative projects where you want to achieve different effects without needing several sets of pencils.

Why choose this thick 10 mm version?
With a lead diameter of 10 mm, these pencils are much thicker than standard colouring pencils. This larger size is perfect for filling large areas, for young children who are still practising their grip, or when you want to apply a lot of colour quickly. The thick core breaks less easily and delivers more pigment per stroke.

The advantage of the square shape
The square shape with rounded edges ensures that the pencils don't roll off your worktable. This practical design prevents your pencils from falling on the floor and getting damaged. At the same time, they sit comfortably in your hand thanks to the rounded edges, which benefits drawing comfort.

Practical tip for watercolour techniques
Because these pencils are water-soluble, you can run a wet brush over your work after drawing to create watercolour effects. Always begin with light strokes and gradually build up the colour. For the best results, use watercolour paper, but ordinary drawing paper also gives lovely effects if you carefully control the amount of water.
