What does gouache paint do and when do you need it?
Gouache paint is an opaque watercolour that you can thin with water but still gives a full, impenetrable layer of colour. You use this paint for paintings, illustrations and creative projects where you want to achieve bright, matt colours that are completely opaque. Gouache dries quickly and you can easily paint over it.

Why choose black gouache in a large pack?
Black is a basic colour that you often need for outlines, shadows and details in your artworks. With a content of 1000 ml you have a substantial supply, which is handy if you paint regularly or work on larger projects. This large pack means you won't run through your black paint too quickly while working.

Suitable for children aged 3 and over
This Lefranc & Bourgeois gouache paint has been specially developed for children aged 3 and over. The paint meets the safety standards for toys and is therefore safe for use by young children. This makes it a suitable choice for schools, day-care centres and home use where small children join in with painting.

Practical tip for use and storage
Store the gouache paint at room temperature and make sure the lid is tightly closed to prevent it from drying out. If the paint becomes too thick, you can thin it with a little water. Thanks to the large pack, you can top up smaller pots, which is handy for group activities or when several children are working at the same time.
