What does this flat brush do and when do you need it?
This flat brush from Lefranc Bourgeois has been specially developed for painting activities with children aged 3 and up. The flat shape makes it ideal for applying large areas of paint, backgrounds and broad strokes. You use this type of brush when you want children to paint easily without too much detailed work.

Why size 20 is the right choice
Size 20 offers the perfect balance between coverage and control for young artists. The brush is large enough to fill areas quickly, yet still manageable for small children's hands. This size prevents frustration in children, as they don't have to keep moving endlessly to fill an area.

Hog hair for durable use
The bristles are made of hog hair, which provides firmness and resilience while painting. This natural material holds its shape well and lasts longer than synthetic alternatives, which is especially important with intensive use by children. The yellow wooden handle with metal ferrule offers a sturdy construction that can withstand enthusiastic use.

Practical tip for group activities
With 12 pieces in a pack, you have plenty of brushes straight away for a small group of children or multiple painting sessions. After use, store the brushes upright with the tips pointing up, so the hog hair keeps its shape. Rinse them thoroughly in lukewarm water and let them dry completely before storing.
