Create more calm and privacy at your desk with this height-adjustable desk divider from LEITZ. The acoustic polyester material dampens ambient noise and offers space to pin up notes.
When do you choose this product?
What does this desk screen do?
An acoustic desk screen places a barrier between you and your surroundings to dampen noise and reduce visual distraction. This is handy in an open office environment or a busy home workspace where ambient noise disrupts your concentration. You attach the screen directly to the desk, so you don't need a freestanding solution.
When is this size the right choice?
This screen measures 800 mm wide and is height-adjustable from 350 to 650 mm above the desktop. That lets you adapt the shielding to your own working posture, whether you're sitting and typing or leaning back for a meeting. For a standard desk, this width is sufficient to screen off your immediate work zone without taking up too much space.
Honest about the sound-dampening effect
The screen is made of polyester, a material that absorbs sound waves and so reduces ambient noise. This is about dampening, not full soundproofing: background noise becomes noticeably quieter, but it isn't completely blocked. That makes this product suitable for anyone who wants to reduce distractions, but not for anyone who needs a completely silent space.
Practical tips for use and expansion
The screen comes with two table clamps suitable for desks up to 30 mm thick, so check the thickness of your desk beforehand. A handy extra feature is that the polyester surface can also be used to pin up notes, so the screen doubles as a memo board. Multiple screens can be combined, which is useful if you want to screen off a longer workstation or create an L-shaped layout.
