What does this product do?

The Leitz impressBind binding cover is a hard cover you use to give documents a neat, professional finish without needing a separate binding machine with perforation. You choose this when you want to present reports, quotes or theses in a representative folder with a linen-like appearance. The cover is designed for use with an impressBind binding system, which binds the spine of the document neatly.

Why this 3.5 mm thickness?

This cover has a capacity of 10 to 35 sheets, so you use it for documents of limited size such as short reports or presentations. If you fall outside this range, it's better to choose a thicker or thinner variant from the impressBind series, so the spine fits well with the number of sheets. This prevents the binding from coming loose or the folder looking too roomy for the document.

The linen-look cover

The cover has a linen finish, which gives a textile-like texture instead of a smooth plastic surface. This creates a sturdier, more formal feel than a standard plastic cover and suits documents you want to hand over in person to clients or examiners. The burgundy colour gives a neutral, businesslike look that works well with this texture.
