This is why Dex likes this article
This optical audio cable brings crystal-clear digital sound to your speakers or soundbar. At 5 metres in length, you have all the flexibility to connect devices at a distance, perfect for your home cinema setup.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a Toslink audio cable?
An optical audio cable such as this Toslink cable is used to transmit digital audio signals between devices without loss of quality. You need this cable when you want a high-quality digital audio connection between, for example, a soundbar and your TV, a games console and your audio system, or a Blu-ray player and your receiver.
Why choose a 5-metre length?
At a length of 5 metres, this cable offers enough flexibility for most living room and office setups. You can place devices at a comfortable distance from one another without the cable being pulled taut. This length is ideal when your audio components are in different cabinets or when you want a neat cable run.
Advantages of the plastic fibre construction
This cable is built with a 0.98 mm plastic fibre, which ensures reliable signal transmission over the full 5 metres. The moulded cap protects the connector from damage and ensures a durable connection. The black PVC material of the plugs matches most modern audiovisual equipment.
Practical connection information
Please note that both connected devices must have Toslink connections. Do not bend the cable too sharply, and make sure the red light dots at both ends are visible when the cable is connected; this confirms that the signal is being transmitted correctly.
