What does this cable do and when do you need it?

This USB-C to USB-C cable from LogiLink connects two devices with a USB-C port, both for transferring data and for charging. At a length of 0.15 metres, this is a compact cable that you use in places where your devices are standing close together, for example on your desk or at a charger next to your laptop.

Why specifically the 0.15 metre version?

The short length of 15 centimetres is ideal if you want to keep your worktop tidy and don't want to tuck away excess cable length. Think of connecting a power bank that you place next to your phone, or plugging a device directly into a USB-C charger. Especially in a home office, where cable clutter quickly builds up, you deliberately choose a cable that is no longer than necessary.

An honest look at the charging and data transfer capabilities

The cable supports USB Power Delivery 3.0 up to a maximum of 20V/3A, which amounts to 60 watts of charging power. This lets you charge medium-power devices such as tablets or compact laptops quickly, provided the charger and the device also support this. For data transfer, the speed is 480 Mbit/s, which corresponds to USB 2.0. This is suitable for transferring documents and photos, but not for quickly copying large video files.

Practical tip on connections and finish

Both ends are fitted with a USB-C plug, so check beforehand that both devices have a USB-C port. The nickel-plated plugs ensure a sound contact when plugged in and out repeatedly. The cable is shielded, which limits interference from other electronics nearby.
