This is why Dex likes this article
This 1000 mm cutting ruler gives you precision with every cut, thanks to its stainless steel cutting edge. The non-slip underlays keep it firmly in place, whether you cut freehand or work with the Maped MatCutter.
When do you choose this product?
What does a cutting ruler do and when do you need one?
A cutting ruler is used to make straight cuts in paper, cardboard or other thin materials. You place the ruler along the desired cutting line and cut along it with a Stanley knife or cutter. This gives you much more precise results than freehand cutting, especially for longer straight lines.
Why choose this aluminium size?
The aluminium material provides a stable, straight guiding edge that does not bend the way plastic rulers can. This size is ideal for graphic work, presentations or when you regularly work with large formats.
The stainless steel cutting edge makes the difference
The cutting edge is made of stainless steel, which is important because this material resists the wear caused by blades. Ordinary aluminium rulers can get damaged through repeated cutting, so your cutting line eventually stops being straight. The stainless steel edge keeps its shape for longer and gives you precision for years.
Practical details for stable working
The ruler has two anti-slip undersides that prevent it from shifting while you cut. This is essential for safe working and straight results. You can use the ruler for freehand cutting with any type of Stanley knife, but it is also suitable for use with the Maped MatCutter. The blue/black colour scheme makes the graduation marks easy to read.
