What is metallic acrylic paint and when do you need it?
Metallic acrylic paint gives your projects an eye-catching, shiny silver finish. You use this type of paint when you want objects to have a luxurious or industrial look, or when you want to add accents that reflect the light.

Why choose this water-based variant?
This Marabu Decorlak water-based paint offers important advantages over solvent-based alternatives. The paint is saliva-resistant and lightfast, making it suitable for items that are touched regularly or stand in sunlight. Thanks to the water base, the paint dries faster and smells less strong while you work.

An honest look at coverage and gloss
The manufacturer cites very good coverage as a property, which means you will likely achieve an even result with a single coat on most surfaces. The high-gloss character creates a striking metallic effect, but this also means that imperfections in the surface become more visible than with matt paints.

Practical tip on material compatibility
This paint adheres to a wide range of materials: paper, cardboard, wood, styrofoam, metal, stone, glass, plastic and even modelling clay. Thanks to its weather-resistant properties, you can use the paint both indoors and outdoors. Because the paint is mixable, you can combine it with other colours from the same range for custom shades.
