This is why Dex likes this article
This batik dye gives your fabrics a beautiful olive green colour and is super easy to use. Suitable for cotton, linen and silk, and the colour stays beautiful when hand washed up to 30 degrees.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need batik paint?
You use batik paint to colour textiles and paper with creative techniques such as batik and hand-painting. This Marabu olive green paint is ideal when you want to transform natural fabrics into unique works of art or personal garments. You can experiment with different binding and resist methods to create interesting patterns.
Why choose this colour and quantity?
Olive green is a versatile natural shade that combines well with other colours and suits a variety of projects. The 25 gram pack provides enough paint for several smaller projects or one larger piece. This quantity is practical for beginners who want to experiment without building up a large stock.
Suitable for various materials
This paint works on cotton, linen, silk, viscose and blends with a maximum of 20% synthetic fibre. You can also paint Japanese paper with it. The very good lightfastness ensures that your coloured creations keep their colour for a long time, even in daylight. This makes the paint reliable for projects you want to keep for years.
Practical washing instructions
You can hand wash painted textiles at up to 30 degrees, but do not boil the fabric as the paint may then fade. Always wash new batik pieces separately the first time to prevent colour from running onto other clothing. Let the textile dry thoroughly after painting before you wash it for the first time.

Dex knows - user tips
Dissolve the dye powder completely in a small amount of warm water before adding it to the dye bath, so that lumps and uneven colouring are prevented. Then add salt to the bath to promote an even, intense release of colour onto the fabric.
